31st January 2016

IMG_5311IMG_5278IMG_5286IMG_5170Starlings- I was lucky to be able to watch Catsfield’s own modest Starling murmuration from my friends farmyard yesterday! They congregated around the pylons at first before flying on their swooping way into the woods to roost. In the distance, another murmuration was also displaying- wonderful stuff. Conditions: Sunny yesterday afternoon but bleak, wet and gloomy today. Temperature: Max 11- Min 9c.

  1. What a gorgeous blog you have. I’m so glad I found it via the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust. I’m trying to learn more about the wildlife in my part of Sheffield (Fulwood) so I will be keeping a close eye on what you post as I have got SO MUCH to learn about identification.

  2. Thank you for your feedback, so glad you enjoy the blog. On year three so wondered if it was getting repetitive but lovely to know there are people just starting it, so I won’t worry so much about repeating!
